Programs
We have programs available for the entire family. Please check our schedule for locations and times for each program.
Little Dragons
(4 - 5 years old, no exceptions)
A high energy class designed especially for the youngest martial artists. These classes teach kicks, punches, and blocks by breaking each technique into small segments. Games are used to help the children practice their moves while also making them more aware of their own bodies. Students who complete our Little Dragons program will be more confident when entering the Children’s Program and become more prepared to enter school.Beginner Martial Arts
(6 years to ~13 years old)
All children joining our martial arts classes will begin in the beginners class. These classes are for white through orange belts and focus on teaching all the basic kicks, punches, and blocks. Students will spar with our instructors and begin sparring with each other. In addition to the martial arts, we help students build their confidence and their ability to focus on goals. Our goal is to use the martial arts to help each child become a great student, a great family member, and a great citizen.Intermediate Martial Arts
(Advanced Orange - Purple Belts)
These intense classes are part of our martial arts program, but are for students who have advanced beyond the basics of beginners classes. Students will continue learning new martial arts techniques, perfecting learned techniques, and will be closer to becoming a black belt. Open to all ages.Advanced Martial Arts
These classes are for students who have reached the ranks of blue, red, and black belts, regardless of age.Adult Martial Arts
(~13+ years)
Our martial arts program focuses on the mind and the body - teaching techniques, while also explaining the history and practical uses of the movements. These classes have students of varying ages, abilities, and ranks.Family Classes
(All ages)
We offer classes specially designed to accommodate adults and children together. These classes are open to all of our martial arts students, but we encourage families who join together to train together.Kenjutsu
(16+ years)
Sensei Clayton McCombs instructs in the traditional art of Kenjutsu with a major focus on the Katana (long sword). Learn the art of Samurai swordmanship, including techniques, tactics, and strategy. Studying this art can benefit martial arts students of any style or rank - or can be learned without any prior martial arts experience.Gracie Jiu-Jitsu
(~12+ years)
Although Gracie Jui-Jitsu consists of over 600 techniques, studies of the fights conducted by members of the Gracie Family have shown that 36 techniques have been used more often and with greater success than all the other techniques combined. Each lesson is strategically designed so that no previous experience is required to participate.Women's Fitness Classes
(~ 16 years & up)
This program, designed specifically for women, combining exercises from different styles to increase endurance, energy, muscle strength, and flexibility. This program adapts to the needs of the women in the class, while also changing the workout so that a different body area is focused on each class.Weapons Program
(must be a martial arts student)
All of our students will learn at least one weapon before earning their black belt. This program is included in the martial arts fee. Our beginner class focuses on the bo staff, while our advanced class teaches advanced bo staff and sai. Students must complete the beginners weapon program before moving to advanced weapon. Often we provide weapons training in the martial arts programs.Ki-Aikido
Aikido is a modern synthesis of ancient samurai fighting techniques, as well as a philosophy of peace, harmony and self-improvement. While Aikido can be used effectively as self-defense, the purpose of Aikido training is not to prepare fighters for combat, but to develop calmness, mental focus, physical health, and harmonious social relationships. The word Aikido can be translated as "the way of harmony with the powers of nature."Because Aikido techniques depend upon balance, precision, and timing rather than speed or strength, they can be practiced by nearly everyone, regardless of sex, age, or size.
Registration
Registration is available on a rolling basis with payments due each month. We do not have sessions or semesters.
