We work with our teenage students, providing them with a place to come after school to train, do homework, and help each other stay out of trouble. During the summer, higher ranking teens also have the opportunity to learn how to teach and become a high class role model.

For those of you who have not had any Martial Arts experience before, we here at Cheng's Martial Arts, encourage you to come and watch our classes. We have different programs designed to provide something for each member of your family. Cheng's Martial Arts is a family oriented martial arts school, open to the public and dedicated to making your experience enjoyable and satisfying. We believe in strengthening the mind and body through self-discipline, fitness and awareness. Join in the fun! Learn the martial arts at our school, and get fit while making new friends and learning self-defense techniques.

How To Choose A Martial Arts School

Why are the martial arts so popular?

Martial arts training is so popular because no other activity can provide the same positive results, on a personal level, for each individual participant. Whether your goals are self confidence, self-defense, personal development, fitness, flexibility or to earn a black belt, our school will take you there. From our pre-school programs to our martial arts fitness programs, our instructors are dedicated to helping you and/or your family achieve your individual goals. Practicing the martial arts is a great way to keep your body strong and your mind sharp as you age.

Children's Programs

Younger people may gravitate to the Karate Kid/Power Rangers style, and that's OK, as long as personal safety is stressed. Good martial arts training can teach children a lot about discipline and desire, commitment and goal-setting. It gives them a safe way to act out their aggressive impulses. And it helps build their self-confidence, too.
Little Dragons or Pee Wee classes are available here at Cheng's Martial Arts School and at the Lansdowne and Ridley YMCA"s.

Special Programs

We also have programs designed for students with "Special Needs" for both children and adults.
We teach these students here at our location.
Our instructors are also trained
to help students with ADD and ADHA.
Call for more information on how we can help.

Our Instructors

Rather than tell you about our Champion Instructors, we prefer to focus on our students. Certainly, we’re proud of our Hall of Fame and Nationally ranked instructors, however we’re more proud of our students’ achievements. Our instructors understand that each student’s individual progress should be the main focus of their attention. That’s why our instructors continue to be students themselves. They take classes, attend seminars and continually work to improve their ability to help our students reach their goals.

Our Commitment to You

American Council on Martial Arts

Our instructors participate in the American Council on Martial Arts (ACMA) instructor education and certification program. The program helps our instructors stay up-to-date on the most important teaching issues such as teaching bye age groups, safety in the classroom and student motivation.

National Association of Professional Martial Artists

As a member of the nearly 2,000 school National Association of Professional Martial Artists (NAPMA), our school enjoys transfer privileges in the rare case that you move to another area.
